Where is my location data stored?
On your device, in an encrypted local database. Pathmory has no backend for your location history — your phone is the source of truth.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There's no sign-up and no login. Premium is handled by the App Store or Google Play, not by us collecting your identity.
How does importing my Google Timeline work?
Request your data from Google Takeout, then open the ZIP in Pathmory. We parse it on-device, show you a preview, and only keep what you confirm. The raw export is never uploaded anywhere.
What about sensitive places like home and work?
Frequent places stay private by default and never leave your device. You decide what, if anything, to back up or export.
Is backup safe?
Backups are encrypted before they leave your device and stored in your own iCloud or Google Drive — never ours. Backup is an opt-in Premium feature.
